The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Sulayman bin Dawud said, 'Tonight I will go around to a hundred wives, and each one of them will bear a son who will fight in the cause of Allah.'" He said, "But he forgot to say, 'If Allah wills.' So he went around to them, and not one of them gave birth except a single woman who bore half a person."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Had he said, 'If Allah wills,' he would not have broken his oath, and it would have been a means of attaining his need."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق حدثنا معمر عن ابن طاوس عن أبيه
قال رسول الله ﷺ قال سليمان بن داود لأطوفن الليلة بمائة امرأة تلد كل امرأة منهن غلاما يقاتل في سبيل الله قال ونسي أن يقول إن شاء الله فأطاف بهن قال فلم تلد منهن إلا واحدة نصف إنسان فقال رسول الله ﷺ لو قال إن شاء الله لم يحنث وكان دركا لحاجته
