The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Khosrau will pass away and there will be no Khosrau after him, and Caesar will pass away and there will be no Caesar after him. By the One in whose hand my soul rests, their treasures will surely be spent in the path of Allah the Exalted."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق أخبرنا معمر عن الزهري عن ابن المسيب
قال رسول الله ﷺ يذهب كسرى فلا يكون كسرى بعده ويذهب قيصر فلا يكون قيصر بعده والذي نفسي بيده لتنفقن كنوزهما في سبيل الله تعالى
Its isnad is sahih. Muslim reported it in 2:371 through Abdul-Razzaq, from Maamar, with this chain, but did not state its wording, referring instead to the narration before it. It has already passed at 7184, from Abdul-Ala, from Maamar, with the same content, and through two other routes at 7266 and 7472.
