From the Prophet ﷺ, something similar to the hadith of Abu Salama.
حدثنا عبد الرزاق أخبرنا معمر عن أيوب عن ابن سيرين
عن النبي ﷺ نحوا من حديث أبي سلمة
Its chain of transmission is sahih, and it is a repetition of the one before it. Bukhari narrated something similar to it, 8:329, through the route of Mahdi bin Maymun from Muhammad bin Sirin, from Abu Hurairah. Muslim narrated it, 2:300, through the route of Maamar from Hammam bin Munabbih, from Abu Hurairah, and through the route of Hisham bin Hassan from Muhammad bin Sirin, from Abu Hurairah, but he did not mention its wording in either route.Ibn Hajar, when explaining this hadith at the point where Bukhari narrated it, 11:441, through the route of Tawus from Abu Hurairah and through the route of Araj from Abu Hurairah, went into great detail gathering its various routes and the differences in their wording, 11:442–445. He mentioned that he had found it narrated through ten of the Tabiin from Abu Hurairah, and in the course of that he pointed to this narration and repeatedly pointed to the earlier narration 7623, in a lengthy discussion full of valuable points.
