The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever keeps a dog, except for a dog used for hunting, farming, or guarding livestock, will have one qirat deducted from his reward each day."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق عن معمر عن الزهري عن أبي سلمة
عن النبي ﷺ قال من اتخذ كلبا إلا كلب صيد أو زرع أو ماشية نقص من أجره كل يوم قيراط
Its isnad is sahih. Muslim (1:462) narrated it from Abd bin Humayd, from Abdul-Razzaq, with this same isnad. Its meaning has already appeared in the hadith of Abdullah bin Umar several times, including at 4479, 4813, and 6443.
