There is something questionable in its chain of transmission, and perhaps something has dropped out of it, or an error has occurred in one of its letters. The apparent reading of the chain here is that it is from Suhayl, from Abu Hurairah directly, and if that were the case, it would be a broken chain. This is how it is established in the three source manuscripts.A note has been established in the margin of manuscript M, reading as follows, "This is how it appears in another copy, from Suhayl bin Abu Salih, from Abu Hurairah. But it is well known that Suhayl does not narrate from Abu Hurairah except through his father." From. In the handwriting of Shaykh Abdullah bin Salim.This means that the person who wrote this marginal note copied it from the margin of a copy of the Musnad, upon which Shaykh Abdullah bin Salim had written this in his own hand. It is quite possible that the original reading was, "from Suhayl, from Abu Salih," like the chain that follows this one, and that the word "from" (an) was miscopied by one of the copyists as "bin" (son of). This possibility is reinforced by the fact that manuscript K has the following chain written as "from Suhayl bin Abu Salih, from Abu Hurairah," with the word "from" distorted into "bin."The hadith itself is sahih, established through the chain preceding it.
