The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade continuous fasting without breaking it.They said, "But you yourself fast continuously."He replied, "You are not like me. My Lord feeds me and gives me drink."Yazid's version reads, "I spend the night while my Lord feeds me and gives me drink."
حدثنا ابن نمير ويزيد قالا أنا محمد حدثنا أبو سلمة
نهى رسول الله ﷺ عن الوصال قالوا إنك تواصل قال إنكم لستم كهيئتي إن الله حبي يطعمني ويسقين وقال يزيد إني أبيت يطعمني ربي ويسقيني
