The Prophet ﷺ said, "A woman is not to be married alongside her paternal aunt, nor alongside her maternal aunt."
حدثنا أبو عامر حدثنا هشام عن يحيى عن أبي سلمة
أن النبي ﷺ قال لا تنكح المرأة على عمتها ولا على خالتها
Its isnad is sahih. Abu Amir is Aqdi, Abdul-Malik bin Amr. Hisham is Ibn Abu Abdullah Dastawai. The hadith was narrated by Muslim 1:397, and Nasai 2:81, both of them by way of Yahya, who is Ibn Kathir, from Abu Salama, from Abu Hurairah. It has already appeared with the same meaning at 7133, from the narration of Umar bin Abu Salama, from his father, and we explained there that the whole group narrated it, through several routes, from Abu Hurairah.
