The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever performs the funeral prayer over a deceased person earns one qirat of reward, and whoever follows the funeral until everything is completed earns two qirats. The smaller of them," or he said, "one of them, is like the mountain of Uhud."
حدثنا سفيان أنا سألته عن سمي عن أبي صالح
عن النبي ﷺ من صلى على جنازة فله قيراط ومن اتبعها حتى يفرغ من شأنها فله قيراطان أصغرهما أو أحدهما مثل أحد
Its isnad is sahih. Sumayy, his reliability was already established at 7224, and he is among the teachers of Sufyan bin Uyayna. But here in H and M, it appears as "Sufyan, ana Salamah" which gives the false impression that between Sufyan and Sumayy there is a narrator named Salamah, when no narrator by this name exists. The correction is based on the two manuscripts S and K. The correct reading, which we have adopted, is "ana sa'altuhu" (I asked him), meaning that Imam Ahmad asked Sufyan about this hadith, so he related it to him with this isnad.This hadith was narrated by Abu Dawud, 3168, 3/175 of Awn al-Mabud, from Musaddad, from Sufyan, with this isnad. It was also narrated by Muslim, 1/259, through the route of Suhayl bin Abu Salih, from his father, from Abu Hurairah, with a similar meaning. In his version he said, "The smaller of the two is like Uhud," without any doubt expressed. This has already appeared through another route from Abu Hurairah, with similar wording, at 7188, where we indicated some of its sourcing.
