The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No one is wounded in the cause of Allah, and Allah knows best who is wounded in His cause, except that he will come on the Day of Resurrection with his wound gushing blood. The color is the color of blood, but the scent is the scent of musk."Sufyan once narrated it independently from Abu Zinad.
حدثنا سفيان عن أبي الزناد وابن عجلان عن الأعرج
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا يكلم أحد في سبيل الله والله أعلم بمن يكلم في سبيله إلا جاء يوم القيامة والجرح يثعب دما اللون لون دم والريح ريح مسك وأفرده سفيان مرة عن أبي الزناد
Its isnad is sahih. Ibn Ajlan is Muhammad bin Ajlan. In H it appears as "wa Abi Ajlan," which is a printing error, corrected from L and M. As for his statement at the end, "Sufyan narrated it once from Abu Zinad alone," it means that Ibn Uyayna narrated it from Abu Zinad and Muhammad bin Ajlan together, both from Araj, and he also narrated it once from Abu Zinad alone.Muslim narrated the hadith, 2:96, from Amr Naqid and Zuhayr bin Harb, both from Ibn Uyayna, from Abu Zinad, from Araj. So Amr and Zuhayr heard it from Sufyan when he narrated it from Abu Zinad alone. Bukhari narrated it, 6:150, in similar wording, through the route of Malik from Abu Zinad. It is also in the Muwatta, 461. Its meaning has already occurred, within a lengthy hadith, from the hadith of Abu Zura from Abu Hurairah, 7157."Yathabu daman" (gushes with blood), with a "tha" that has two dots above it and ends with a "ba" with one dot, means "it flows."
