The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Rights will surely be restored to their owners on the Day of Resurrection, to the point that retribution will be taken on behalf of the hornless sheep against the horned sheep that butted it."Ibn Jafar said in his narration, "Retribution will be exacted for the hornless sheep."
حدثنا ابن أبي عدي عن شعبة عن العلاء ومحمد بن جعفر قال حدثنا شعبة قال سمعت العلاء يحدث عن أبيه
قال رسول الله ﷺ لتؤدن الحقوق إلى أهلها يوم القيامة حتى يقتص للشاة الجماء من الشاة القرناء تنطحها وقال ابن جعفر يعني في حديثه يقاد للشاة الجلحاء
Both its chains of transmission are sahih. Muslim narrated it, 2:283-284, through Ismail bin Jafar, and Tirmidhi narrated it, 3:292, through Darawardi, both of them from Ala, who is Ibn Abdul-Rahman, the freedman of Hurqah, with this chain, similarly. Tirmidhi said, the hadith of Abu Hurairah is a hasan sahih hadith. See what has already appeared in the Musnad of Uthman bin Affan, number 520, and Targhib wal-Tarhib 4:201.Al-jammaa is the one that has no horn, and likewise al-jalhaa. And al-qarnaa is the one that has a horn.As for his statement at the end, "Ibn Jafar said," this is Muhammad bin Jafar, Ghundar, the teacher of Ahmad in the second chain. In the three original manuscripts it appears as "Abu Jafar said," but this is an old error from the copyists, and we saw it necessary to correct it, since there is no one among the narrators of the two chains whose kunya is Abu Jafar.
