A man called out to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and asked, "Can one of us pray in a single garment?"He replied, "Does every one of you have two garments?"
حدثنا إسماعيل حدثنا أيوب عن محمد
نادى رجل رسول الله ﷺ فقال أيصلي أحدنا في ثوب واحد قال أوكلكم يجد ثوبين
Its isnad is sahih. Muhammad is Ibn Sirin. Bukhari related the hadith 1:401, through Hammad bin Zayd, and Muslim 1:146, through Ibn Ulaya, both of them from Ayub from Ibn Sirin, with the same wording. The rest of the group related it as well, except Tirmidhi, as in Muntaqa 680.
