Abdullah bin Amr bin As reported,

I heard a man from Mazina questioning the Prophet ﷺ, and he mentioned something similar to the hadith of Ibn Idris. He said that the man asked him about fruits and what is still in its husk. The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Whoever eats with his mouth without carrying any away in his garment, there is nothing against him. But whoever takes some away with him, he must pay twice its value and receive a punishment as a deterrent. As for what is taken from the drying area, the hand is to be cut off if what is taken reaches the value of a shield."The man asked, "Messenger of Allah, what about lost items we find on a frequented road?"He answered, "Announce it for a year. If its owner comes, give it to him, otherwise it is yours."The man asked, "Messenger of Allah, what about what we find in ancient ruins?"He replied, "In that, and in buried treasure, a fifth is due."
