The Prophet ﷺ said, "The true emigrant is the one who abandons what Allah has forbidden, and the true Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة عن إسماعيل يعني ابن أبي خالد عن الشعبي
عن النبي ﷺ أنه قال إن المهاجر من هجر ما نهى الله عنه والمسلم من سلم المسلمون من لسانه ويده
Its isnad is sahih, and it is a repeat of 6806. See also 6837, 6890. As for his saying, "and the Muslim," in [[k]] it is "and the believer," and this is a variant reading in the margin of [[m]].
