When the pledge of allegiance to Yazid bin Muawiya reached us, I traveled to Sham. I was told of a gathering held by Nawf, so I went to him. While I was there, a man arrived wearing a fine woolen cloak, and the people pressed eagerly around him. It turned out to be Abdullah bin Amr bin As. When Nawf saw him, he stopped speaking.Abdullah said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'There will be migration after migration. The people will withdraw to the place of Ibrahim's migration. None will remain on the earth except the worst of its inhabitants. Their lands will spit them out, Allah's soul will find them loathsome, and the Fire will gather them along with the apes and swine. It will spend the night with them when they sleep, take its midday rest with them when they rest, and devour any who lag behind.'"He continued, "And I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'A people will emerge from my nation from the direction of the east. They will recite the Quran, but it will not pass beyond their throats. Whenever a generation of them appears, it will be cut off. Whenever a generation of them appears, it will be cut off.'" He repeated this more than ten times, "Whenever a generation of them appears, it will be cut off, until the Dajjal emerges among the last of them."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق أخبرنا معمر عن قتادة
لما جاءتنا بيعة يزيد بن معاوية قدمت الشام فأخبرت بمقام يقومه نوف فجئته إذ جاء رجل فاشتد الناس عليه خميصة وإذا هو عبد الله بن عمرو بن العاص فلما رآه نوف أمسك عن الحديث فقال عبد الله سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول إنها ستكون هجرة بعد هجرة ينحاز الناس إلى مهاجر إبراهيم لا يبقى في الأرض إلا شرار أهلها تلفظهم أرضوهم تقذرهم نفس الله تحشرهم النار مع القردة والخنازير تبيت معهم إذا باتوا وتقيل معهم إذا قالوا وتأكل من تخلف قال وسمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول سيخرج أناس من أمتي من قبل المشرق يقرءون القرآن لا يجاوز تراقيهم كلما خرج منهم قرن قطع كلما خرج منهم قرن قطع حتى عدها زيادة على عشرة مرات كلما خرج منهم قرن قطع حتى يخرج الدجال في بقيتهم
