We descended with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from the pass of Adhakhir. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ looked at me, and I was wearing a garment dyed with safflower. He asked, "What is this?"I realized that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ disliked it, so I went to my family while they were heating their oven. I folded the garment and threw it into the fire.Then I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he asked, "What did you do with the garment?"I replied, "I understood what you disliked about it, so I went to my family while they were heating their oven and threw it in."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Why did you not give it to one of your womenfolk to wear?"
حدثنا أبو مغيرة حدثنا هشام بن الغاز
هبطنا مع رسول الله ﷺ من ثنية أذاخر قال فنظر إلي رسول الله ﷺ فإذا علي ريطة مضرجة بعصفر فقال ما هذه فعرفت أن رسول الله ﷺ قد كرهها فأتيت أهلي وهم يسجرون تنورهم فلففتها ثم ألقيتها فيه ثم أتيت رسول الله ﷺ فقال ما فعلت الريطة قال قلت قد عرفت ما كرهت منها فأتيت أهلي وهم يسجرون تنورهم فألقيتها فيه فقال النبي ﷺ فهلا كسوتها بعض أهلك
