Its isnad is daif. Yunus bin Khabab, with a fatha on the kha and a doubled ba, is daif. He was an extreme Shiite who used to curse Uthman. Yahya bin Saeed called him a liar, and others declared him daif. Ibn Hibban said, "It is not permissible to narrate from him." In Mizan and Tahdhib it is reported from Bukhari that he said, "His hadith is munkar," but I did not find this in Tarikh al-Kabir 2/4/404, and he did not mention him in Saghir nor in Duafa.Jareer bin Hayan, with a fatha on the plain ha and a doubled ya, was mentioned by Ibn Hibban among the trustworthy narrators.Abu Hayan bin Husayn is Abu Hayyaj Asadi Kufi, a trustworthy successor. Regarding this hadith, Hafiz pointed out in Tahdhib 2/72 that Nasai narrated it in Musnad Ali, and the substance of the hadith is sahih through the narration of Abu Hayyaj Asadi, as will come later at 741 and 1064, and we have pointed to it in the commentary on 657.In manuscript H it reads, "Yunus bin Muhammad narrated to us, Muhammad narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us." The addition of "Muhammad narrated to us" in the isnad is a mistake with no meaning, and we have corrected it from manuscripts K and H. The word "amarani" ("he ordered me") was not mentioned in manuscript K.
