A man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "Which migration is best?"He replied, "That you abandon whatever your Lord dislikes. There are two types of migration, the migration of the settled dweller and the migration of the nomad. As for the nomad's migration, it is to obey when commanded and to respond when called. As for the settled dweller's migration, it is the more severe in trial and the greater in reward of the two."

أن رجلا سأل رسول الله ﷺ أي الهجرة أفضل قال أن تهجر ما كره ربك وهما هجرتان هجرة الحاضر وهجرة البادي فأما هجرة البادي فيطيع إذا أمر ويجيب إذا دعي وأما هجرة الحاضر فهي أشدهما بلية وأعظمهما أجرا
