I used to write down everything I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, wanting to memorize it. The Quraysh forbade me from doing so, saying, "Are you writing down everything, when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ speaks in anger and in pleasure alike?"So I stopped, until I mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said, "Write, for by the One in whose hand is my soul, nothing comes out from it except the truth."
