The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever drinks wine, flog him. If he returns to it, flog him. If he returns to it, flog him. If he returns to it, kill him."Waki said in his version of the hadith, Abdullah said, "Bring me a man who has drunk wine for the fourth time, and I take it upon myself to kill him."
حدثنا وكيع حدثني قرة وروح حدثنا أشعث وقرة بن خالد المعنى عن الحسن
قال رسول الله ﷺ من شرب الخمر فاجلدوه فإن عاد فاجلدوه فإن عاد فاجلدوه فإن عاد فاقتلوه قال وكيع في حديثه قال عبد الله ائتوني برجل قد شرب الخمر في الرابعة فلكم علي أن أقتله
