Ali bin Abu Talib reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform the witr prayer with nine surahs from the Mufassal section. Aswad said that in the first rakah he would recite Alhakum at-Takathur, Inna Anzalnahu fi Laylat al-Qadr, and Idha Zulzilat al-Ard. In the second rakah he would recite Wal-Asr, Idha Jaa Nasr Allahi wal-Fath, and Inna Atayna al-Kawthar. In the third rakah he would recite Qul ya Ayyuha al-Kafirun, Tabbat Yada Ubayy Lahab, and Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad.

عن علي رضي الله عنه قال

كان رسول الله ﷺ يوتر بتسع سور من المفصل قال أسود يقرأ في الركعة الأولى ألهاكم التكاثر وإنا أنزلناه في ليلة القدر وإذا زلزلت الأرض وفي الركعة الثانية والعصر وإذا جاء نصر الله والفتح وإنا أعطيناك الكوثر وفي الركعة الثالثة قل يا أيها الكافرون وتبت يدا أبي لهب وقل هو الله أحد
