Nawf and Abdullah bin Amr, meaning the son of al-Aas, met together.Nawf said, "If the heavens and the earth and everything in them were placed on one pan of the scales, and 'there is no god but Allah' were placed on the other pan, the latter would outweigh them. And if the heavens and the earth and all that is in them were a sheet of solid iron, and a man said, 'there is no god but Allah,' it would pierce through them until it reached Allah ."Abdullah bin Amr said, "We prayed the sunset prayer with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Some stayed behind to pray more, and others left. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came in such haste that his garments had nearly slipped up above his knees, and he said, 'Rejoice, company of Muslims! This is your Lord, who has opened one of the gates of heaven, taking pride in you before the angels, saying, "These are My servants. They have completed one obligatory prayer and are waiting for the next."'"
Its isnad is sahih. Thabit is Banani. Abu Ayub is Yahya bin Malik al-Azdi al-Ataki al-Maraghi, a Basran Follower who was trustworthy, deemed trustworthy by Nasai, Ibn Hibban, and Ajli. Ibn Saad said in Tabaqat 164/1/7, He was trustworthy and reliable. Bukhari gave his biography in Kabir 303/2/4.This hadith actually consists of two parts. The first is a report not attributed to the Prophet, the words of Nawf, apparently Nawf al-Bakali, the Follower, the stepson of Kaab Ahbar. I have not found it except in the Musnad, and the author of Majma al-Zawaid did not mention it, as far as I have been able to trace. He was right not to mention it, for it is not a hadith attributed to the Prophet that should be counted among the additional narrations. As for its meaning, it is established and sahih as attributed to the Prophet through the narration of Abdullah bin Amr as well, 6583, in what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ related of Nuh's advice to his son.The second part is the hadith attributed to the Prophet. This was narrated by Ibn Majah 1/138 through Nadr bin Shumayl from Hammad, with this isnad. Busiri said in his Zawaid, This isnad is sahih and its narrators are trustworthy. The hadith, in both its parts, will come again at 6751, 6752, 6946. See also 6994, 7066.(Aqqaba) with fatha on the ain and doubling of the qaf, from taqib, meaning he remained in his place of prayer after finishing the prayer.
