The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever dies on Friday or on the night of Friday is protected from the trial of the grave."
حدثنا سريج حدثنا بقية عن معاوية بن سعيد عن أبي قبيل
قال رسول الله ﷺ من مات يوم الجمعة أو ليلة الجمعة وقي فتنة القبر
Its isnad is daif, because Baqiya bin Walid was a mudallis, and he did not explicitly state hearing it directly here, and this has already been discussed at 887. Muawiya bin Saeed bin Shurayh al-Tujibi is trustworthy, mentioned by Ibn Hibban in al-Thiqat, and Bukhari gave his biography in al-Kabir 4/1/334-335, saying, he heard from Abu Qabil and Yazid bin Abu Habib, and Baqiya narrated from him.The meaning of this hadith has already appeared in similar form, through another daif route at 6582. Its meaning also appears from the hadith of Anas as recorded by Abu Yaala, with an isnad that is likewise daif, as noted in Majma al-Zawaid 2:319, and in al-Fath 3:201. Something similar also appears from the hadith of Jabir, narrated by Abu Naeem in al-Hilya 3:155-156, with an isnad containing weakness.
