The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw me wearing clothes dyed with safflower and said, "Take them off, for these are the garments of the disbelievers."
Its isnad is sahih. Ali bin Mubarak Hinai, with damma on the ha and a light nun, his reliability was established earlier at 409, and we add here that Ibn Abu Hatim gave his biography in Al-Jarh wal-Tadil 1/3/203–204, and he related from Salih bin Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, who said, my father said, "Ali bin Mubarak is trustworthy, he had books, some of which he heard from Yahya bin Abu Kathir and some of which were read out to him." Yahya bin Saeed Qattan narrated from him, and Ibn Madini, Ibn Numayr, and Ajli also declared him trustworthy, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him among the trustworthy narrators and said, "He was precise and meticulous."This hadith is a repetition of 6513, and we noted there that Muslim related it at 2/154, and we add here that one of Muslim's chains is through Abu Bakr bin Abu Shayba, from Waki, with this same isnad.
