Naji reported,

He traveled with Ali رضي الله عنه as the keeper of his water vessel. When they drew level with Naynawa, while Ali was on his way to Siffin, Ali رضي الله عنه called out, "Be patient, Abu Abdullah. Be patient, Abu Abdullah, by the bank of the Furat."I asked, "What is this about?"He said, "I went in to the Prophet ﷺ one day and his eyes were overflowing with tears. I asked, 'Prophet of Allah, has someone angered you? Why are your eyes overflowing?'He replied, 'Rather, Jibreel rose from my side a moment ago and told me that Husayn will be killed by the bank of the Furat.'He said, 'Would you like me to let you smell some of his soil?'I said, 'Yes.'So he stretched out his hand and took a handful of soil and gave it to me, and I could not keep my eyes from overflowing."
