The Prophet ﷺ said regarding Laylat al-Qadr, "Whoever seeks it should seek it on the twenty-seventh night."Shuba said, "A trustworthy man related to me from Sufyan that he used to say the wording was, 'Whoever seeks it should seek it in the remaining seven nights.'"Shuba said, "I do not know whether he said this or that."The trustworthy man whom Shuba was uncertain about is Yahya bin Saeed al-Qattan.

عن النبي ﷺ في ليلة القدر قال من كان متحريها فليتحرها في ليلة سبع وعشرين قال شعبة وذكر لي رجل ثقة عن سفيان أنه كان يقول إنما قال من كان متحريها فليتحرها في السبع البواقي قال شعبة فلا أدري قال ذا أو ذا شعبة شك الرجل الثقة يحيى بن سعيد القطان
Its isnad is sahih. Aswad bin Amir, whose nickname was Shazan, his reliability was already established at 2334, and it may be added here that Bukhari mentioned him in al-Kabir 1/8/448 and al-Sagheer 229. The hadith is a repetition of 4808, and see also 5932.6474m - Shubah said, "A trustworthy man mentioned to me, on the authority of Sufyan, that he used to say, He only said, Whoever seeks to determine it should seek it among the last seven nights." Shubah said, "I do not know whether he said this or that, Shubah being uncertain."[Abdullah bin Ahmad said], My father said, "The trustworthy man is Yahya bin Saeed Qattan."Sahih (6474m). Its isnad is sahih. It follows on from what came before it, despite Shubah's leaving unnamed the trustworthy man who reported to him from Sufyan Thawri, since Imam Ahmad clarified afterward that he was Yahya bin Saeed Qattan.What is meant by this is that Shubah heard it from Abdullah bin Dinar, from Ibn Umar, with the wording of seeking it determinedly on the night of the twenty seventh. But Sufyan Thawri reported it from Abdullah, from Ibn Umar, with the wording of seeking it determinedly among the last seven nights. Thawri's narration with this wording has already passed at 5283, from Abdul-Rahman bin Mahdi, from him. That is why Shubah was uncertain about what Abdullah bin Dinar said, between what he himself heard from him and what he heard from Yahya Qattan, from Thawri, from him.
