The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not intercept the riders bringing goods to market," and he forbade najsh.
حدثنا حماد بن خالد حدثنا مالك عن نافع

Its isnad is sahih. Its meaning has already come up repeatedly, scattered across many hadiths, including 5862, 5870, and 6282. Ibn Athir said in Nihayah 4:64, "Meeting the caravans" means that a townsman goes out to meet a Bedouin before he reaches the town, and falsely tells him that his goods are not selling well, so that he can buy his merchandise from him at a loss and for less than its fair price. That is a forbidden deception. As for najsh, its explanation has already been given at 4531.
