The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever takes an oath and makes an exception, he may either proceed with it or withdraw from it without being guilty of breaking the oath."

أن النبي ﷺ قال من حلف فاستثنى فإن شاء مضى وإن شاء رجع غير حنث
