The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no contagion and no evil omen, but ill fortune may be found in three things, a woman, a house, and a riding animal."
حدثنا عثمان بن عمر أخبرنا يونس عن الزهري عن سالم
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال لا عدوى ولا طيرة والشؤم في ثلاثة في المرأة والدار والدابة
Its isnad is sahih. Bukhari related it (10:180, 181) through Uthman bin Umar, the same authority as Ahmad here, with this isnad. He also related it (10:208) through Ibn Wahb, from Yunus, from Zuhri, from Salim and Hamza, from their father.Muslim related it (2:190) through Ibn Wahb, from Yunus, and also through Thawri, both of them from Zuhri, from Salim and Hamza.The first part of this hadith has already appeared, in a different context with a different daif isnad, at 4775, and we noted this there. The rest of it has already appeared numerous times with sahih isnads, the first at 4544 and the last at 6196.
