The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said while standing on the pulpit, "Whoever among you comes to the Friday prayer should perform a full ablution."
Its isnad is sahih, and it is a repetition of the one before it. As for the wording in the isnad, "from Abdullah bin Abdullah", this is the correct form. In the three original manuscripts it appeared as Abdullah bin Ubaydullah, with the diminutive form in the father's name, which is certainly an error. This Abdullah, from whom Ibn Shihab Zuhri narrates, is Abdullah bin Abdullah bin Umar bin Khattab, and Zuhri narrates from his brothers Salim, Hamza, and Ubaydullah, the sons of Abdullah bin Umar. What supports and confirms this correction with certainty is that this hadith previously appeared as number 2020, narrated by Layth bin Saad from Zuhri from Abdullah bin Abdullah, from Abdullah bin Umar. Muslim likewise narrated it in his Sahih (1:232) by the route of Layth, and then Muslim followed it with his narration by the route of Abdul-Razzaq from Ibn Jurayj from Ibn Shihab from Salim and Abdullah, the two sons of Abdullah bin Umar, from Ibn Umar. This, then, is the same version found here, the route of Abdul-Razzaq, with the addition of Salim's narration from his father.
