The Prophet ﷺ used to send us out to the outskirts of Madinah, ordering us not to leave a single dog alive without killing it, to the point that we would even kill the dog belonging to a bedouin woman.
حدثنا عبد الرزاق أنبأنا سفيان عن إسماعيل بن أمية عن نافع
كان النبي ﷺ يبعثنا في أطراف المدينة فيأمرنا أن لا ندع كلبا إلا قتلناه حتى نقتل الكلب للمرية من أهل البادية

Its isnad is sahih. Sufyan is Thawri. The hadith is given at length at 4744 and 5975, see also 6171. "Muraya" is originally a diminutive form of "imraah" (woman), with the hamza softened and changed into a ya, which was then merged with the ya of the diminutive form.
