Amra reported from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ regarding his combining of Umrah with Hajj as tamattu, and the people's combining of the two along with him, the same account that Salim bin Abdullah narrated to me from Abdullah from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
حدثنا حجاج حدثنا ليث حدثني عقيل عن ابن شهاب عن عروة بن الزبير أن
عن رسول الله ﷺ في تمتعه بالعمرة إلى الحج وتمتع الناس معه بمثل الذي أخبرني سالم بن عبد الله عن عبد الله عن رسول الله ﷺ
Its isnad is sahih. This is from the musnad of Ayesha, and it is mentioned here only following the narration of Zuhri, for the context indicates that he was relating the hadith of Salim from Ibn Umar in its wording, then following it with the hadith of Urwa from Ayesha, saying, "Similar to what Salim told me," and so on, without giving the actual wording of Urwa from Ayesha.Muslim did the same in 1:351, narrating it from Abdul-Malik bin Shuayb, in a manner similar to what is here. Majd bin Taymiyyah did likewise in Al-Muntaqa 2388, not citing its wording, but attributing it to Ahmad and the two Shaykhs.
