The Prophet ﷺ said while at al-Hijr, "Do not enter upon these punished people unless you are weeping, lest the same affliction that struck them strike you."
حدثنا موسى بن داود حدثنا عبد العزيز بن أبي سلمة عن عبد الله بن دينار
قال ﷺ وهو في الحجر لا تدخلوا على هؤلاء القوم المعذبين إلا أن تكونوا باكين فيصيبكم مثل ما أصابهم
