The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Every intoxicant is forbidden, and every intoxicant is khamr."
حدثنا يعقوب بن إبراهيم بن سعد حدثنا عبد العزيز بن المطلب عن موسى بن عقبة عن نافع
قال رسول الله ﷺ كل مسكر حرام وكل مسكر خمر
Its isnad is sahih. Abdul-Aziz bin Muttalib bin Abdullah bin Hantab has already been confirmed as reliable at 590. Here his name appears in H as Abdul-Aziz bin Abdul-Muttalib, which is an error. We have corrected it from K and M, since among our narrators there is no one known by that name. This hadith has already appeared repeatedly through other routes, the most recent being 5820, and it has also passed by way of Ibn Jurayj from Musa bin Uqba, with this same isnad, at 4830.
