The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No prayer is to be offered after Asr unless the sun is still white and high."
حدثنا جرير بن عبد الحميد عن منصور عن هلال عن وهب بن الأجدع
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا يصلى بعد العصر إلا أن تكون الشمس بيضاء مرتفعة
Its isnad is sahih. Mansur is Ibn Al-Mutamir. Hilal is Ibn Yasaf Al-Ashjai, and he is trustworthy. Yasaf is with a kasra on the ya and a light sin, and it is also said Isaf, with the ya changed to a hamza. Wahb bin Al-Ajda Al-Hamdani Al-Kufi is a trustworthy successor. Bukhari said in Tarikh al-Kabir 4/2/163, He heard from Umar and Ali.This hadith was narrated by Nasai 1:97 through Jareer, and by Abu Dawud 1:491-492 through Shubah, both of them from Mansur.
