Its isnad is sahih, and it is a longer version of 4779. The meaning of the hadith is the disapproval of branding on the face, so "the form" here means the face, and "marking" means branding. Ibn Athir said, I dislike that the form be marked, meaning that a cauterizing brand or mark be placed on the face. I did not find this hadith in any other place. Its meaning is established in Sahih Muslim 2:174, from the hadith of Jabir, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade striking on the face and branding on the face. Then I found it in Bukhari 9/579 (Fath), from Ubaydullah bin Musa, from Hanzala, from Salim, from Ibn Umar.
