The Prophet ﷺ said, "I will not give you servants while leaving the people of Suffa with their bellies twisted in hunger."And once he said, "I will not provide you with a servant while leaving the people of Suffa folded over from hunger."
حدثنا سفيان عن عطاء بن السائب عن أبيه
قال النبي ﷺ لا أعطيكم وأدع أهل الصفة تلوى بطونهم من الجوع وقال مرة لا أخدمكما وأدع أهل الصفة تطوى

Its chain is sahih. Sufyan is Ibn Uyayna. Ata bin Saaib is thiqah. Ahmad said, thiqah, thiqah, a righteous man, but he became confused in his later years, so some of his hadiths became disordered. They agreed that the hearing of those who heard from him early on is sahih hearing, and among them is Sufyan bin Uyayna, as mentioned in Tahdhib 7:206-207. His father, Saaib bin Malik, was a thiqah Tabii."I will not give you a servant" means, I will not give you two a servant, addressing Ali and Fatimah. "When you go hungry" (idha tatwi), it is said, tawiya from hunger, yatwa, tawan, so he is tawin, meaning empty-stomached, hungry, not having eaten.This hadith is an abridgment of a longer hadith that will come at 838.
