The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The charity of Fitr is obligatory upon every Muslim, young or old, free or slave, male or female, a sa of dates or a sa of barley."
حدثنا سريج حدثنا عبد الله عن نافع
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال صدقة الفطر على كل مسلم صغير أو كبير حر أو عبد ذكر أو أنثى صاع من تمر أو صاع من شعير
Its chain is sahih. Abdullah is Ibn Umar bin Hafs Umari. In K, in this hadith and the hadiths that follow it up to 5950, it reads Ubaydullah instead of Abdullah, which is an error, for these hadiths are the hadiths of Abdullah bin Umar Umari, not the hadiths of his brother Ubaydullah, even though his brother did narrate some of them, as will become clear from the referencing of some of them later on. The hadith is a repetition of 5781, with similar wording.
