The Messenger of Allah ﷺ fasted continuously without breaking his fast in Ramadan, so the people did the same. He then forbade them from doing so.It was said to him, "But you yourself fast continuously."He replied, "I am not like you. I am fed and given drink."
حدثنا محمد بن عبيد حدثنا عبيد الله عن نافع
أن رسول الله ﷺ واصل في رمضان فواصل الناس فنهاهم فقيل له إنك تواصل قال إني لست مثلكم إني أطعم وأسقى
