Abdullah bin Umar came to Ibn Mutee during the days of al-Harrah. Ibn Mutee said, "Place a cushion for Abu Abdul-Rahman."Abdullah bin Umar replied, "I have not come to sit. I have only come to tell you two statements I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever withdraws his hand from obedience will have no argument to present on the Day of Resurrection, and whoever dies separated from the community dies the death of the days of ignorance.'"
حدثنا يونس بن محمد حدثنا ليث عن محمد بن عجلان
أن عبد الله بن عمر أتى ابن مطيع ليالي الحرة فقال ضعوا لأبي عبد الرحمن وسادة فقال إني لم آت لأجلس إنما جئت لأخبرك كلمتين سمعتهما من رسول الله ﷺ سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول من نزع يدا من طاعة لم تكن له حجة يوم القيامة ومن مات مفارقا للجماعة فإنه يموت موت الجاهلية
