Its isnad is daif. Abdul-Ala is Ibn Amir Thalabi, and he is daif. He was declared daif by Ahmad, Abu Zura, and others. This has already been discussed at 193.Abu Abdul-Rahman is Sulami, meaning his own statement. As for "and he attributed it," this is how it appears in the three original manuscripts, with the conjunction "and" included, meaning that he narrated the hadith and attributed it to the Prophet ﷺ.The hadith was narrated by Tirmidhi, 3/250, through Sufyan and Abu Awana, both of whom transmitted it from Abdul-Ala with similar wording. It was also narrated by Hakim, 4/392, who graded it sahih, but Dhahabi challenged him on this, citing the weakness of Abdul-Ala.
