Anas bin Malik reported,

When a Muslim man reaches forty years of age, Allah grants him safety from various afflictions such as insanity, leprosy, and elephantiasis. When he reaches fifty, Allah عز وجل makes his reckoning easy for him. When he reaches sixty, Allah grants him the gift of turning to Him in repentance, a state which Allah loves him for. When he reaches seventy, Allah loves him and the inhabitants of the heavens love him. When he reaches eighty, Allah accepts his good deeds and erases his sins. And when he reaches ninety, Allah forgives him his earlier and later sins, he is named "Allah's captive on earth," and his intercession is accepted on behalf of his family.
