The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was occupied one night and delayed the prayer until we had fallen asleep in the mosque, then woke up, then fallen asleep again, then woken up, then fallen asleep once more, then woken up. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to us and said, "There is no one on earth tonight waiting for this prayer except you."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق أخبرنا ابن جريج أخبرني نافع
أن رسول الله ﷺ شغل عنها ليلة فأخرها حتى رقدنا في المسجد ثم استيقظنا ثم رقدنا ثم استيقظنا ثم رقدنا ثم استيقظنا فخرج علينا رسول الله ﷺ ثم قال ليس أحد من أهل الأرض الليلة ينتظر الصلاة غيركم
Its isnad is sahih. Muslim related it in 1:177 from Muhammad bin Rafi from Abdul-Razzaq. Its meaning has already appeared in a hadith by another route, 4826, and we pointed to this there. The word [then] is an addition from K and M, and it is established in Sahih Muslim.
