The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed the dawn prayer, and after giving the closing salam, he turned to face the place where the sun rises and said, "Indeed, tribulation comes from here. Indeed, tribulation comes from here, from where the horn of Satan rises."
حدثنا أبو سعيد مولى بني هاشم حدثنا عقبة بن أبي الصهباء حدثنا سالم
صلى رسول الله ﷺ الفجر ثم سلم فاستقبل مطلع الشمس فقال ألا إن الفتنة هاهنا ألا إن الفتنة هاهنا حيث يطلع قرن الشيطان
Its isnad is sahih. Uqba bin Abu Sahba Abu Khuzayma is trustworthy, Ibn Main and others confirmed his reliability. He is discussed in Al-Jarh wal-Tadil 3/1/312, which cites Ahmad bin Hanbal as saying that Uqba bin Abu Sahba was a righteous shaykh. The hadith is lengthy, 5109.
