The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about the lizard, and he replied, "I do not eat it, but I do not forbid it either."
حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن عبد الله بن دينار والعمري عن نافع
سئل رسول الله ﷺ عن الضب فقال لا آكله ولا أحرمه
Its isnad is sahih, and it is a duplicate of 5068. Here Waki narrates it from Sufyan and from Umari, as required by the shift in the chain of transmission.
