Ibn Umar used to wear sandals made of tanned leather and perform ablution while wearing them, and he mentioned that the Prophet ﷺ used to do the same.
حدثنا وكيع حدثنا العمري
أن ابن عمر كان يلبس السبتية ويتوضأ فيها وذكر أن النبي ﷺ كان يفعله
Its isnad is sahih, and its meaning has already appeared through another route within a longer hadith, no. 4672.
