The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had a ring of gold made for himself, so the people had rings of gold made for themselves as well. Then he threw it away and said, "I will never wear it again."Yazid said, "So the people threw away their rings."
حدثنا وكيع حدثنا سفيان ويزيد قال أخبرنا سفيان عن عبد الله بن دينار
اتخذ رسول الله ﷺ خاتما من ذهب فاتخذ الناس خواتيمهم من ذهب فرمى به وقال لن ألبسه أبدا قال يزيد فنبذ الناس خواتيمهم
