A man called out to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "What clothing may we wear when we enter the state of ihram?"He replied, "Do not wear shirts, turbans, hooded cloaks, trousers, or leather socks, unless someone cannot find sandals." Yahya once said, "Unless a man has no sandals, in which case let him cut them below the ankles. And do not wear any garment touched by wars dye or saffron."
حدثنا يحيى عن عبيد الله أخبرني نافع
أن رجلا نادى رسول الله ﷺ ما نلبس من الثياب إذا أحرمنا قال لا تلبسوا القمص ولا العمائم ولا البرانس ولا السراويلات ولا الخفين إلا أحد لا يجد نعلين وقال يحيى مرة إلا أن يكون رجل ليس له نعلان فليقطعهما أسفل من الكعبين ولا يلبس ثوبا مسه ورس أو زعفران
