It is reported from the Prophet ﷺ that he did this, similar to the hadith of Yahya bin Saeed regarding the raising of the hands.
حدثنا عبد الله بن الوليد حدثنا سفيان أخبرني جابر عن سالم
عن النبي ﷺ أنه فعل ذلك مثل حديث يحيى بن سعيد في رفع اليدين
