The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The likeness of the hypocrite is that of a sheep wandering between two flocks, going to this one at one time and to that one at another, not knowing which of them to follow."
حدثنا عبد الله قال وجدت في كتاب أبي حدثنا إسحاق بن يوسف حدثنا عبيد الله عن نافع
قال رسول الله ﷺ مثل المنافق كمثل الشاة العائرة بين الغنمين تعير إلى هذه مرة وإلى هذه مرة لا تدري أهذه تتبع أم هذه
Its isnad is sahih. Its meaning has already passed by another route at 4872, where we noted that Muslim narrated its meaning with two isnads through the route of Nafi, and this is one of the two isnads. Here, in the margin of (m), it says, "Here ends the hadiths that contain the phrase, 'He said, I found it in my father's book.'"
