I asked Ibn Umar about bathing on Friday, and he said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to do so."
حدثنا عبد الله قال وجدت في كتاب أبي حدثنا حجاج أخبرنا شعبة عن أبي إسحاق
سألت ابن عمر عن الغسل يوم الجمعة قال فقال أمرنا به رسول الله ﷺ
Its isnad is sahih, and the command for ghusl has already been mentioned in the wording of a statement of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ several times, the last of them at 5008.
